About Umar Abdulrasheed, Creative Director
Umar Abdulrasheed, the creative force behind TheVantageGent, is a Nigerian fashion designer with a passion for marrying traditional elegance with modern style. Though self-taught, Umar’s path into fashion was shaped by hands-on mentorship with his aunt, a professional fashion designer based in Abuja, who guided him in mastering the art of tailoring and design.
With academic roots in Agriculture and Veterinary Science from Kwara State University and a Master’s degree in Environmental Management from the UK, Umar made a bold transition to pursue his true calling — elevating African native wear to global couture status. Umar’s designs celebrate the regal styles of Nigerian men, blending cultural pride with sophisticated craftsmanship.
